Faculty of Islamic Studies and Teacher Education - UNIDA

History

One of the main goals of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia is to educate the nation, and in that spirit, Djuanda University (UNIDA) Bogor was founded by the Indonesian Amaliah Islamic Development Study Center Foundation (PSPIAI) as a form of responsibility to advance the Muslim community through education. Founded on the initiative of Lieutenant General TNI (ret.) H. Alamsjah Ratu Perwiranegara (deceased) along with his close relatives on June 3, 1983, this foundation stands on waqf land located in Ciawi, Bogor Regency, West Java. Based on the decision of the PSPI Foundation number 083/PSPI/III/87, Djuanda University was officially established on March 21, 1987, immortalizing the name of Ir. H. Djoeanda Kartawidjaja—a National Independence Hero from Tasikmalaya who is widely known for his contributions to government—as a form of respect.


The Faculty of Islamic Studies and Teacher Education (FAIPG) of Djuanda University is one of the faculties under the auspices of Djuanda University Bogor. This faculty has an academic and moral mandate to develop higher education based on integrative, inclusive, and transformative Islamic values. Committed to the development of science rooted in the values ​​of monotheism, FAIPG is here to answer the challenges of the times while encouraging the advancement of civilization through the implementation of superior and internationally standardized education, research, and community service.
As a UPPS, currently, FAIPG manages four Study Programs, namely: 1) Islamic Education Management (excellent); 2) Elementary School Teacher Education (Excellent); 3) Arabic Language Education (excellent); 4) Islamic Religious Education (Good).


With competent lecturers, a curriculum that is relevant to the needs of society and industry, and a conducive academic environment, the Faculty of Islamic Studies and Teacher Education of Djuanda University is committed to producing graduates who excel intellectually, spiritually, and professionally. This faculty always strives to become a center of excellence in the development of Islamic education science and practice that makes a real contribution to the nation and humanity.

To become a leading faculty in the fields of religion and education to enlighten the life of the nation that is united in monotheism and has international standards.

Mission:
  1. Organizing modern higher education within the Faculty of Islamic Religion and Teacher Education which fosters and develops religious knowledge and educational knowledge which are united in monotheism.
  2. Conducting creative and innovative research within the Faculty for the development of religious science and educational science that are united in monotheism.
  3. Organizing community service within the Faculty through the dissemination of creative and innovative research results in the fields of religious science and education that are beneficial to society.
  4. Organizing higher education management in the Faculty environment with good university governance (GUG)
  5. Building a campus life in the Faculty of Islamic Studies and Teacher Education environment that is imbued with the nuances of monotheism.



Goal:

 

  1. Producing graduates who are monotheistic and internationally competitive in the fields of religious knowledge and educational science.
  2. Developing modern and internationally standardized academic facilities within the Faculty of Islamic Studies and Teacher Education.
  3. Producing innovative research that is internationally recognized and oriented towards the novelty of religious science and educational science based on the development of science and technology.
  4. Producing community service that provides problem solving, is useful and beneficial for society in the fields of religious knowledge and education.
  5. Improving the quality of governance of the Faculty of Islamic Studies and Teacher Education that is transparent, accountable, independent, just and participatory, united in monotheism.
  6. Building a culture of monotheism in every academic and non-academic person in the Faculty of Islamic Religion and Teacher Education
