Activities that present various competitions for SMA/SMK level will be held on Wednesday-Thursday (12-13/02/2025).
Head of the Sharia Economics Study Program (ESI), Wildan Munawar, SE.I., MA., in his speech expressed his appreciation to the participants, accompanying teachers, and committee for their enthusiasm in the BE STAR 2025 activity. He explained that the activity would last for two days and would close with a seminar inviting academics from the Indonesian University of Education (UPI) as well as practitioners of Indonesian sharia economics.
Chief Executive of BE STAR 2025, Ahmad Suryana, explained that the theme "GENIUS: Generating Innovation for Universal Sharia Economy" was chosen to introduce the potential of sharia banking and sharia economics in Indonesia, which is a country with a Muslim majority.
Suryana added that this activity, which was previously called SEMESTA, presented two main competitions, namely a business proposal competition which focused on innovative business ideas within the framework of sharia economics, as well as a quiz competition which aimed to introduce sharia economic concepts and materials.
"This activity is especially aimed at high school/vocational school students, with the hope of providing an understanding of the enormous potential of sharia economics in the national economic environment," he said.
"Through this activity, we hope that the Sharia Economics and Sharia Banking Study Program at Djuanda University can be more widely known," he continued.
