Melaka, January 28, 2026 – The series of activities of the ASEAN Academic & Business Association Conference (ASEANACA) Batch 6 entered its second day with the main agenda consisting of an academic visit, an international seminar, and the strengthening of inter-university cooperation held at Universitas Islam Melaka (UNIMEL), Malaysia.
In this activity, Muhammad Kafnun Kafi, S.Pd., M.Pd attended as a delegate from the Islamic Education Study Program (PAI) of Universitas Djuanda Bogor. The presence of the Universitas Djuanda delegation is part of a strategic effort to expand international academic networks, particularly within the ASEAN region.
The second day’s agenda began with the opening session of the academic visit at Universitas Islam Melaka, followed by the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) between the university and the ASEANACA network. This collaboration covers the development of the university’s tridharma, particularly in the areas of education, collaborative research, and community service.
The delegates then participated in the ASEAN Academic Issue and Research Collaboration Seminar, which discussed strategic issues in higher education within the ASEAN region, opportunities for cross-border collaborative research, and the strengthening of the role of higher education institutions in addressing global challenges.
The activity continued with Visiting Lecturing and Student Mobility in Class sessions, providing a direct overview of the implementation of lecturer and student exchanges within an international classroom environment. This forum became an interactive discussion space regarding learning models, curriculum enhancement, and the improvement of academic quality based on global collaboration.
According to Muhammad Kafnun Kafi, participation in the second day of ASEANACA Batch 6 provided a highly valuable academic experience, particularly in understanding international cooperation practices that can be adapted and developed within the Islamic Education Study Program of Universitas Djuanda.
“Through this activity, we gained many insights into strengthening academic collaboration, collaborative research, and opportunities for visiting lecturers and student mobility that are relevant for the future development of the PAI Study Program,” he stated.
It is hoped that the outcomes of this visit and international seminar can be followed up through concrete cooperation between Universitas Djuanda Bogor and partner universities in the ASEAN region, particularly in the development of globally oriented Islamic Education research and education.
