Selangor, January 30, 2026 – The series of activities in the ASEAN Academic & Business Association Conference (ASEANACA) Batch 6 entered its fifth day with a strategic agenda consisting of academic visits, international seminars, the signing of cooperation agreements, and the implementation of visiting lecturing and student mobility programs at several universities and educational institutions in Malaysia.

On this fifth day, the ASEANACA delegation, including Muhammad Kafnun Kafi, S.Pd., M.Pd., a lecturer and delegate from the Islamic Education Study Program (PAI) of Universitas Djuanda Bogor, conducted an academic visit to Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), one of the leading research universities in Southeast Asia.

The agenda at UKM began with the opening of an official visit session combined with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between universities. The activity continued with the ASEAN Academic Issue and Research Collaboration Seminar, which discussed strengthening cross-country collaborative research, faculty exchange, and curriculum development based on global needs.

In addition, the delegation participated in Visiting Lecturing and Student Mobility sessions in the classroom, providing direct insights into international learning practices, cross-cultural academic interaction, and classroom management models that are adaptive to global challenges. This program served as a concrete implementation of international cooperation that goes beyond document signing and continues into real academic practice.

After completing the series of activities at UKM, the delegation continued their visit to the Malaysia Cooperative Institute (IKMa) in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. At this institution, the agenda focused on the opening of an official visit session and the signing of an inter-university MoU, which serves as the foundation for developing cooperation in education, research, and strengthening cooperative-based economic development.

The activities at the Malaysia Cooperative Institute were followed by the ASEAN Academic Issue Seminar, which specifically discussed the development of the cooperative economy, accompanied by discussions on visiting lecturing, research collaboration, and student mobility. This seminar emphasized the important role of higher education institutions in promoting community economic empowerment through academic approaches, applied research, and international collaboration.

The participation of Universitas Djuanda Bogor in the fifth-day agenda of ASEANACA Batch 6 is part of a strategic effort to support the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) of higher education institutions, particularly in the areas of international collaboration, improving faculty quality through visiting lecturer programs, and opening opportunities for cross-country student mobility. These programs are aligned with the spirit of Kampus Berdampak (Impactful Campus), which emphasizes the role of higher education in making tangible contributions to the development of knowledge and society.

According to Muhammad Kafnun Kafi, participation in this academic visit and international seminar provided valuable experience in expanding academic networks and enriching insights related to the development of higher education based on international collaboration.

“The cooperation built through the ASEANACA forum opens significant opportunities for Universitas Djuanda to develop learning programs, collaborative research, and faculty and student mobility that directly contribute to improving academic quality,” he stated.

With the successful implementation of the fifth-day agenda, Universitas Djuanda Bogor continues to demonstrate its commitment to developing globally competitive higher education, adaptive to the dynamics of the ASEAN region, and consistently supporting the implementation of KPI and Kampus Berdampak through sustainable international collaboration.
