Last Updated: 3 months ago

Bogor, October 22, 2025 — Lecturers from the Sharia Economics Study Program at Universitas Djuanda participated in the Training of Trainers (ToT) on the Financial Sector Technology Innovation, Digital Financial Assets, and Crypto Assets (IAKD) for university lecturers, organized by the Indonesian Sharia Fintech Association (AFSI) in collaboration with the Financial Services Authority (OJK). This activity took place on February 11, 2026, and was attended by academics from various universities across Indonesia.

The IAKD ToT program aims to strengthen lecturers’ capacity through a direct understanding of the policies under the Law on the Development and Strengthening of the Financial Sector (UU P2SK) and the IAKD framework. This ensures that higher education teaching aligns more closely with industry needs and supports the readiness of skilled talent in the Sharia digital financial sector. The program also serves as part of efforts to enhance synergy between regulators, industry associations, and academics in responding to the rapidly evolving digital transformation of the financial sector.

During the program, participants received comprehensive presentations on the landscape and ecosystem of the financial services sector following UU P2SK and its implications for Sharia finance, as well as the latest developments in financial technology innovation and sandbox initiatives. The materials also covered Fintech Business Models for Financial Services Aggregation, Alternative Credit Rating, Asset Tokenization, and Crypto Asset Fintech Business Models.

The participation of Universitas Djuanda’s Sharia Economics lecturers reflects the institution’s commitment to strengthening academic competence and updating the curriculum to align with the developments in the digital financial industry. This is particularly relevant as the integration between Sharia economics and financial technology innovation (Sharia fintech) becomes increasingly significant in promoting Sharia digital financial inclusion.

Through participation in the IAKD ToT, it is expected that the knowledge transfer and enrichment of materials can be implemented in teaching, research, and community service activities, particularly in the study of Sharia fintech, Sharia digital business, and the governance of financial innovation based on prudence and Sharia compliance principles.
