Djuanda University Sharia Economics Lecturer Becomes International Speaker at ICOSTELM 2026 Kuala Lumpur

Kuala Lumpur, January 29, 2026 — A lecturer from the Sharia Economics Study Program at Djuanda University, Muhammad Amin, SHI., M.Si., participated as a speaker in the international scientific forum The 6th International Conference on Sustainability in Technological, Environmental, Law, Management, Social and Economic Matters (ICOSTELM 2026), held on January 29, 2026, at the Grand Hall, Tabung Haji Tower, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

ICOSTELM 2026 carried the theme “Resilient Futures: Integrating Sustainability, Digital Innovation, and Governance for Global Development,” emphasizing the importance of integrating sustainability, digital innovation, and governance to promote inclusive and resilient global development.

The conference series began with delegate registration, an opening prayer, and inaugural remarks. The academic opening session was delivered by Prof. Dr. Tulus Suryanto, President of the ASEAN Academic Association (ASEANACA), who emphasized that cross-country research partnerships and innovation are key to strengthening regional competitiveness amid increasingly complex global challenges.

The keynote speech was delivered by Prof. Datuk Sr. Dr. Mohd Zaini Bin Mohamed, Group President of Universiti Geomatika Malaysia, who outlined the strategic direction of higher education in supporting the global sustainability agenda through strengthened institutional governance and accelerated digital transformation.

ICOSTELM 2026 was attended by academics and researchers from various countries, including Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Iran. The conference agenda included scientific presentation sessions, cross-disciplinary thematic discussions, international research collaboration networking, and the signing of academic cooperation agreements between universities.

During the academic presentation session, Muhammad Amin, SHI., M.Si., appeared as an international speaker representing the Sharia Economics Study Program of Djuanda University. On this occasion, he presented a study on the use of a readymix raw material management system for MSME chip production, as well as strengthening the application of appropriate technology as a strategy to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of MSMEs.

According to Muhammad Amin, the implementation of a standardized and technology-based raw material management system is not only able to reduce production costs but also improve the consistency of MSME product quality. “Strengthening appropriate technology is one of the strategic solutions to encourage MSME competitiveness to be more adaptive and sustainable in the digital era,” he stated.

The participation of Djuanda University lecturers in ICOSTELM 2026 serves as evidence of the institution’s commitment to supporting academic internationalization, the development of applied research, and the meaningful contribution of Indonesian higher education institutions to global scientific forums, particularly on issues of sustainability and community-based economic empowerment.
