Siti Khumairotuzzahra, S.Pd., M.Pd, a lecturer at the Faculty of Islamic Religion and Teacher Education (FAIPG), successfully passed the national selection to become a BIPA (Indonesian Language for Foreign Speakers) lecturer for overseas assignments through a program organized by the Center for Language and Literature Empowerment, under the Agency for Language Development and Cultivation, Ministry of Education, Basic Education, and Secondary Education.
Siti Khumairotuzzahra, S.Pd., M.Pd, participated in the BIPA Overseas Lecturer Orientation conducted online from February 6–10, 2026. The program included BIPA teaching methodology, teaching simulations, and preparation for integrating Indonesian culture into the learning process.
The selection process consisted of three main stages: administrative selection, teaching simulations and interviews, and competency assessments evaluating pedagogical skills, mastery of Indonesian and foreign languages, and readiness to serve as a cultural ambassador of Indonesia.
Siti Khumairotuzzahra, S.Pd., M.Pd, target countries are in the Middle East, namely Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, aligning with her academic background and experience teaching the Indonesian diaspora. This opportunity allows FAIPG lecturers to gain international experience while introducing Indonesian culture to overseas participants.
BIPA teaching emphasizes cultural integration through conversational simulations, introduction to traditional songs and food, folklore, and practical cultural activities so that participants can directly experience Indonesian culture.
This achievement demonstrates the commitment of FAIPG lecturers to developing professional capacities and expanding the faculty’s influence internationally.
