UNIDA FAIPG Lecturer Becomes Resource Person at National Seminar on Arabic Language Challenges in the Digital Era

Arabic Language Education Lecturer (PBA) Faculty of Islamic Religion and Teacher Education (FAIPG) Djuanda University (UNIDA) Dr. Radif Khotamir Rusli, M.Ed., M.C.E was a resource person in the National Seminar with the theme "Arabic Language: Challenges of the Digital Era and Implementation of Independent Curriculum" which was held virtual through platform Zoom Cloud Meetings on Wednesday (23/08/2023).

This National Seminar was organized by Ittihad Mudarrisi Al-Lughah Al-Arabiyyah (IMLA) West Java Region Which collaborates with the UNIDA PBA Study Program. On this occasion, Dr. Radif Khotamir Rusli, M.Ed., M.C.E presented the material titled "Research on Arabic Language EducationAnalysis Bibliometric”.

Dr. Radif Khotamir Rusli, M.Ed., M.C.E explained that digital technology today is such that it is very open and makes it easy to learn and know anything. Based on data, 35.8% of what is used in the digital world is Arabic. It can be concluded that Arabic has been recognized by the world as an international language.

Various ways of platform which are used as educational content to learn Arabic include:youtube.

Dr. Radif Khotamir Rusli, M.Ed., M.C.E said, there are many positive aspects that can be gained by learning Arabic from youtube, namely making it easier to learn Arabic, making Arabic more fun to learn, strengthening motivation to learn Arabic, and being more focused and easy to access.

Furthermore, Dr. Radif Khotamir Rusli, M.Ed., M.C.E then explained bibliometric analysis in Arabic language research.

Dr. Radif Khotamir Rusli, M.Ed., M.C.E provides visualization of statistical and quantitative data from subjects related to Arabic language research.

Analysis Bibliometric "is a literature review method that uses statistical and quantitative analysis of published studies and focuses on the structure of the articles included in the references," he explained.

“The number of Arabic language publications in the last ten years onplatform Google Scholar, Scopus andWeb of Science distributed as many as 10,560 articles with 10 clusters. "This publication is spread across Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Tunisia," he continued.

For information, apart from Dr. Radif Khotamir Rusli, M.Ed., M.C.E from the PBA FAIPG UNIDA Study Program, other speakers presented at this National Seminar included Prof. Dr. Tulus Musthofa, Lc., MA (General Chair of IMLA), Prof. Dr. Sangidu, M.Hum (Arabic Literature Expert), and H. Ajam Mustajam, M.Si (Head of West Java Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion).
