FAI-PG UNIDA Attends Coordination Meeting of PTKIS and Kopertais Region II West Java and Banten

Bandung, 22 December 2023 - A total of 145 participants from 130 Private Islamic Religious Universities (PTKIS) including the Faculty of Islamic Religion and Teacher Education, Djuanda University and the Coordination of Private Islamic Higher Education (Kopertais) Region II West Java and Banten held a PTKIS-Kopertais Coordination Meeting which took place at the Grand Asrilia Hotel Convention & Restaurant l. Student Fighters 45 No.123, Turangga, Kec. Lengkong, Bandung City, West Java 40264 Bandung on December 21-22 2023.

This coordination meeting raised the theme "Synergy for a Superior, Competitive and Transformative PTKIS" with the aim of improving the quality, quality and quality of PTKIS graduates in Region II West Java and Banten who are ready to compete in the global era. This coordination meeting is also a forum for sharing experiences, information and solutions related to various strategic issues faced by PTKIS, such as accreditation, online learning, student affairs, research, service and collaboration.

This coordination meeting was opened by the Coordinator of Kopertais Region II West Java and Banten, Prof. Dr. H. Rosihon Anwar, M.Ag. who in his speech conveyed the importance of synergy between PTKIS and Kopertais in facing challenges and opportunities in the future. He also appreciated the performance and contribution of PTKIS in educating the life of the nation and state through the development of science, technology and art based on Islamic values.

This coordination meeting presented resource person Dr. THOBIB AL ASYHAR, S.Ag, M.Sc. as Head of the Sub Directorate of Institutions and Cooperation of the Directorate of Islamic Religious Higher Education, Directorate General of Islamic Education, Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia. Meanwhile, Mrs. Tuti Kurnia, M.Si, as Deputy Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, and Mr. Abdul Kholik, M.Pd.I, as Deputy Dean for Non-Academics, were FAI-PG representatives from Djuanda University who attended this coordination meeting.

Apart from that, this coordination meeting was also filled with discussion, question and answer and practice sessions related to the material presented by the resource persons. Coordination meeting participants also had the opportunity to interact and network with fellow PTKIS and Kopertais leaders.

This coordination meeting also produced several recommendations and joint agreements, including: 1) Encouraging all PTKIS to improve academic quality and quality, especially in terms of accreditation, online learning, and research and service output. 2) Forming a West Java and Banten PTKIS leadership forum as Kopertais' strategic partner in advocating and facilitating PTKIS interests. 3) Establishing cooperation and partnerships between PTKIS and Kopertais with various parties, both government, private and community, in order to support the development of superior, competitive and transformative PTKIS.

It is hoped that this coordination meeting will provide benefits and positive impacts for PTKIS and Kopertais Region II West Java and Banten in increasing their role and contribution in the world of higher education, especially in the field of Islamic religion.
