The Faculty of Islamic Studies and Teacher Training (FAIPG) organized a socialization event for the Student Creativity Program (PKM), the Student Organization Capacity Strengthening Program (PPK Ormawa), and the Student Entrepreneurship Development Program (P2MW). The activity was held on Tuesday (March 10, 2026) as part of the faculty’s efforts to encourage greater student participation in various flagship programs organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology.
The socialization session featured the Vice Dean I of FAIPG, Helmia Tasti Adri, who delivered a presentation on the opportunities, mechanisms, and strategies for preparing competitive proposals for the PKM, PPK Ormawa, and P2MW programs. In her explanation, she emphasized that these programs serve as strategic platforms for students to develop creativity, strengthen academic capacity, and cultivate leadership as well as teamwork skills.
According to her, through these programs students are not only encouraged to generate innovative ideas but are also expected to present concrete solutions that provide real benefits to society. Therefore, students need to prepare strong ideas, well-structured program plans, and solid collaborative work in order to compete at the national level.
Meanwhile, the Dean of FAIPG, Abdul Kholik, in his remarks stated that student involvement in PKM, PPK Ormawa, and other national competitions plays an important role in improving both student achievements and institutional recognition. Students’ success in these programs is not only an individual accomplishment but also strengthens the academic reputation of the faculty and the university at the national level.
He also affirmed that the faculty provides full support for students who wish to participate in these programs. This support is manifested through mentorship from academic supervisors, guidance in proposal preparation, and facilitation of various academic needs that support students’ success in competitions.
Furthermore, the Dean of FAIPG hopes that this socialization activity will provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the opportunities and mechanisms for participating in PKM, PPK Ormawa, and P2MW. With a clear understanding, students are expected to take advantage of these opportunities to learn, innovate, and achieve various outstanding accomplishments.
“Students must have the courage to try, the courage to go through the process, and continue to create. Through these programs, students can contribute their best to personal development, the advancement of higher education, and the well-being of society and the nation,” he stated.
This socialization activity is expected to become an initial step in increasing the participation of FAIPG students in various national programs, while also encouraging the emergence of innovative works that have a meaningful impact on the wider community.
