The Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Studies and Teacher Training, Dr. Abdul Kholik, M.Pd.I., together with student representatives, conducted a socialization activity for the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Program with administrators of Islamic boarding schools in Sukaraja District on Thursday, June 4, 2026.
The activity was carried out as an effort to introduce the RPL Program to Islamic boarding schools while also expanding access to higher education for the community. The socialization was conducted in a warm atmosphere and received enthusiastic participation from the attendees.
In his presentation, Dr. Abdul Kholik, M.Pd.I. explained that the RPL Program is a pathway for recognizing an individual’s prior learning experiences, work experiences, and competencies to continue their education at the higher education level. This program is expected to provide opportunities for the pesantren community to obtain formal education in a more flexible manner and in accordance with the experiences they already possess.
In addition to presenting information regarding the mechanisms and benefits of the RPL Program, the activity also included a discussion and question-and-answer session with Islamic boarding school administrators regarding the registration process, requirements, and program implementation.
Through this socialization activity, FAIPG UNIDA hopes that the RPL Program will become more widely recognized within Islamic boarding school communities and serve as a collaborative step in supporting the improvement of education quality and human resources in Sukaraja District.
