The Faculty of Islamic Studies and Teacher Education (FAIPG) of Universitas Djuanda (UNIDA) welcomed a Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) team from the Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag) of the Republic of Indonesia at the FAIPG classroom on Friday (November 7, 2025). This activity served as both a forum for strengthening relations and an evaluation of the implementation of education, research, and community service within the faculty.
On this occasion, the Rector of UNIDA, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hj. R. Siti Pupu Fauziah, M.Pd.I, expressed her appreciation for the visit of Kemenag through Kopertais Region II West Java. She emphasized the importance of maintaining strong relations between universities and supervisory institutions such as Kemenag to improve the quality of Islamic higher education.
“The visit and gathering from Kopertais to the Faculty of Islamic Studies and Teacher Education are highly valuable for us. It is a momentum to strengthen synergy and ensure that the faculty’s development direction remains aligned with both national and international standards,” she stated.
Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. H. Wawan Hernawan, M.Ag, Secretary of Kopertais Region II West Java, in his remarks, stated that this Monev activity is not merely administrative but also serves as an important effort to enhance institutional quality and competitiveness among Islamic higher education institutions.
“We view this Monitoring and Evaluation activity as part of a collective effort to ensure the quality and relevance of Islamic higher education. There are several key areas currently being emphasized by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, including updating curricula based on Outcome-Based Education (OBE) to align with global educational standards,” he explained.
“In addition, we are encouraging universities to prepare for international accreditation, strengthen international collaborations in academic and research fields, and optimize the submission of grants for facilities and infrastructure to improve learning quality,” he added.
The Monev activity was also attended by faculty leaders, lecturers, and student representatives of FAIPG. During the evaluation session, the Kemenag team provided several constructive recommendations related to improving academic quality and program governance.
