Bogor, April 28, 2026 — The Faculty of Islamic Studies & Teacher Education (FAIPG) at Universitas Djuanda extends its deepest condolences over the train accident that occurred at Bekasi Timur Station, West Java, on Monday night (April 27, 2026).
The incident involved a Commuter Line (KRL) train and the Argo Bromo Anggrek intercity train, which was triggered by an accident at a level crossing near Bulak Kapal. As a result of the incident, seven people were reported dead and dozens of others were injured.
As a form of empathy, FAIPG Universitas Djuanda conveys its condolences to all victims and affected families.
“May the victims be granted strength and resilience, and may the bereaved families be given patience and sincerity,” stated the faculty in its official statement.
FAIPG also hopes that the handling and investigation processes will proceed smoothly and that this incident serves as an important reminder of safety at railway crossings.
