The Arabic Language Education Student Association (HIMA PBA) of the Faculty of Islamic Studies and Teacher Education (FAIPG) at Universitas Djuanda officially opened FAROBIY (Festival Romansa Arobiyyah) on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at Building C of Universitas Djuanda Bogor. The event carries the theme, “Weaving Achievements, Initiating the Future, and Building Civilization Through the Arabic Language.”
The opening ceremony of FAROBIY was held successfully and received enthusiastic participation from guests and participants. The event was attended by faculty leaders, lecturers, committee members, and participants from various educational levels, including elementary school, Islamic elementary school (MI), junior high school, university students, and the general public. FAROBIY serves as a platform for developing interests, talents, and creativity in the field of the Arabic language.
Among the distinguished guests present at the event were the Vice Dean for Non-Academic Affairs of FAIPG, Dr. Agung Muttaqien, S.Pd.I., M.Pd.; the Head of the Arabic Language Education Study Program, Didin Syamsudin, S.Pd., M.M.Pd.; the Head of the Islamic Education Management Study Program, Dr. Syukri Indra, M.Pd.I.; Arabic Language Education lecturer, Dr. H. M. Deddy Soe’aiddy, M.Si.; and the Head of the Islamic Religious Education Study Program, Muhammad Kafnun Kafi, M.Pd.
In his remarks, the Head of the Arabic Language Education Study Program, Didin Syamsudin, S.Pd., M.M.Pd., stated that FAROBIY is not merely a competition, but also a collective effort to spread and promote the language of Islam, namely Arabic. According to him, this event serves as a positive step in fostering love and appreciation for the Arabic language among participants from various educational backgrounds.
In addition to being a competition event, FAROBIY is also expected to strengthen academic spirit, creativity, and collaboration among participants in learning and developing Arabic as a language of knowledge and Islamic civilization.
The FAROBIY series of activities began with participant registration on April 21, 2026, and will conclude with the announcement of winners on May 23, 2026. Meanwhile, the online competition assessment is scheduled to take place on May 22, 2026.
