Facilitating the exchange of knowledge and experience, FAIPG UNIDA held a National Seminar on Community Service (PkM)

The Faculty of Islamic Religion and Teacher Education (FAIPG) Djuanda University (UNIDA) held a National Seminar on Community Service (PkM) with the theme Community Service Innovation and Collaboration for Sustainable Development. (08/28/2024)

Universities as scientific communities are required to play an active, positive role in solving problems (problem solver) that society faces by producing knowledge that is ready to use, in the sense of problem discovery (problem finder). Therefore, universities, through their Tri Darma of Higher Education (Education, Research and Community Service) must be able to produce graduates (output) who have a tough personality, superior abilities, intelligence, creativity so that they are able to compete with other nations in facing globalization.

Community service is one of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education which must be implemented by every academic. Therefore, The Faculty of Islamic Religion and Teacher Education, Djuanda University, collaborates with partners (UII and UNJA) to carry out activities This National Seminar on Community Service aims to provide a forum for lecturers, students and the community to share experiences, research results and innovations related to community service. This seminar is also expected to strengthen collaboration between various parties in improving the quality of community service.

The objectives of holding the National Community Service Seminar (PkM) include: Facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experience between lecturers, students and the community regarding community service, Publish the results of community service that are relevant and provide real benefits for the community, Strengthen networks and collaboration between various institutions in carrying out community service and also improve quality and impact from community service programs that have been and will be implemented.

Also present was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hj. Siti Pupu Fauziah, M.Pd.I. as Chancellor of Djuanda University, Prof. Rasmitadila, M.Pd. as Deputy Chancellor III of Djuanda University who was also a resource person for this activity, Assoc. Prof. Zahra Khusnul Lathifah, M.Pd.I., M.C.E. as Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Religion and Teacher Education (FAIPG) Juanda University (UNIDA) as well as Keynote Speaker. This activity also presented resource persons including Dr. Muhammad 'Ainul Yaqin, M.Pd.I. currently as PTKI Community Development Facilitator for the Indonesian Ministry of Religion, Dr. Drs. Asmuni, M.A who currently serves as Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Religious Sciences (FIAI) of the Indonesian Islamic University (UII) and Dr. Lucky Enggrani Fitri, S.E., M.Sc. Lecturer in the Islamic Economics Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Jambi University.
