The Student Association of the Islamic Education Management Study Program (HIMA MPI), Faculty of Islamic Studies and Teacher Training (FAIPG), Universitas Djuanda, held the Gema Musabaqah Pendidikan Al-Qur’an (GEMPAR) event, which was officially opened on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at Building C FAIPG UNIDA. The opening ceremony took place solemnly and marked the beginning of a series of competitions attended by participants from Senior High Schools (SMA), Vocational High Schools (SMK), Islamic Senior High Schools (MA), and their equivalents from various regions. This year’s GEMPAR is one of the HIMA MPI work programs focusing on strengthening Qur’anic values and developing students’ potential in Islamic education. The event was attended by the First Vice Dean of FAIPG, Dr. Helmia Tasti Adri, S.Pd., M.Pd.Si., and the Head of the Islamic Education Management Study Program, Dr. Muhammad Rendi Ramdhani, S.Pd.I., M.Pd. Their presence reflected the faculty’s support for student activities that are educational, religious, and character-building in nature. On this occasion, the study program expressed its appreciation for the successful implementation of GEMPAR, which is considered capable of serving as a platform for competence development as well as character building with Qur’anic values for secondary school students. A total of 16 educational institutions participated in this event, namely ITBS Amaliah, MA Al-Mutchari, MA Nurul Yaqien, MAN 2 Kota Bogor, Sulaimaniyah Islamic Boarding School, Riyadhatul Muta’alimin Islamic Boarding School, AQL KMI Gadog Islamic Boarding School, Manba’ Hidayatul Ma’arif Islamic Boarding School, SMA Islam Darul Wasilah, SMA Nurul Furqon, SMAIT Baitussalam, SMAN 1 Ciawi, SMAN 3 Bogor, SMK Madinatul Qur’an, SMK Karya Insani, and Nurani Al Islam. The head of the committee stated that GEMPAR is not only a competition event but also a means of strengthening relationships among educational institutions and fostering a love for the Qur’an among the younger generation. Through this activity, it is expected that participants can develop their abilities while also strengthening spiritual values in their daily lives. The opening ceremony ran smoothly and concluded with great enthusiasm from the participants who are ready to take part in the entire series of GEMPAR 2026 competitions.
