The Faculty of Islamic Religion and Teacher Education (FAIPG) Universitas Djuanda (UNIDA) together with the Primary School Teacher Education Student Association (HIMA PGSD) FAIPG UNIDA commemorated National Teachers' Day by holding a dedication event for teachers with the theme "Respecting Teacher Dedication by Inspiring the Future" on Friday, November 24 2023, in UNIDA Building C Hall.
Also present Vice Rector II UNIDA Dr. Hj. Endeh Suhartini, S.H., M.H., Dean of FAIPG UNIDA Dr. Zahra Khusnul Lathifah, M.Pd.I., M.C.E., Head of the PGSD Program and followed by FAIPG UNIDA lecturers, teachers from Amaliah Djuanda Education Foundation, and students from UNIDA.
Dean of FAIPG UNIDA, Dr. Zahra Khusnul Lathifah, M.Pd.I., M.C.E in her speech said that National Teachers' Day is a historical moment, there are many meanings that can be learned from National Teachers' Day.
"This is a historic moment that we must always remember as part of societal change. Teacher's Day has values that will make us better in the future," he said.
Meanwhile, UNIDA Deputy Chancellor II, Dr. Hj. Endeh Suhartini, S.H., M.H in his speech explained the meaning of teachers as unsung heroes.
"Today is proof that we will not forget the services of teachers as unsung heroes, because thanks to patience, guidance and knowledge obtained from family, we can become who we are today," he said.
“You can get motivation from teachers to progress further. Motivation for a better future. On this National Teacher's Day, let's raise and elevate the status of teachers, honor those who have given service to the country, to all of us. Amen, YRA," he continued.
Dr. Hj. Endeh Suhartini, S.H., M.H then officially opened the activities with Bismillah saying the event was opened. The activity then continued with orations and presentations from students to teachers.
