Following the INCO Project TFK Program, Three PGSD FAIPG UNIDA Students Depart for Finland

The Faculty of Islamic Religion and Teacher Education (FAIPG) Universitas Djuanda (UNIDA) released 3 students from the Primary School Teacher Education Study Program (PGSD) to take part in the INCO Project Teacher for Future Kids (TFK) Finland Program for the 2024-2025 academic year on Thursday, February 13 2025. The three students are Ghina Bahirah Rusdin, Shakilla Azzahra, and Salma Yuliani.

For approximately 40 days in Finland, these students will take part in various academic activities at local educational institutions. The program includes lesson observations, teaching practice, workshops with Finnish education experts, and collaborative research.

UNIDA Deputy Chancellor III, Prof. Dr. Rasmitadila, M.Pd said that sending students to Finland was a strategic step and considering that this country is known to have the best education system in the world, and the three selected students had also gone through strict selection and received intensive training beforehand.

"This program is a great opportunity for UNIDA to produce global quality teacher candidates for the future, considering that Finland is one of the countries with the best quality education in the world," he said.

"We have previously provided these three students with thorough provision and preparation, starting from English language skills to cross-cultural understanding," he added.

Head of the PGSD FAIPG UNIDA Study Program, Dr. Helmia Tasti Adri, M.Pd.Si emphasized to students that it is important to be able to exchange knowledge while they are there.

"We hope that the experience and knowledge gained can be applied to advance basic education in Indonesia," he said.

Meanwhile, Ghina Bahirah Rusdin said that this experience of teaching abroad was her first experience. He hopes that his participation in this program can make the university and study program proud at the international level.
