As a Resource Person for the Workshop in Surabaya, Head of BPK UNIDA Conveys the Strategy of Collaboration in Research and International Service

The Head of the Scientific Development Agency (BPK) of Djuanda University (UNIDA), who is also a lecturer of the Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program (PGSD) of the Faculty of Islamic Religion and Teacher Education (FAIPG) Dr. Rasmitadila, M.Pd, was invited to be a speaker at the Workshop on Obtaining International Research and Service Grants organized by LPPM PGRI Adibuana University Surabaya, East Java, on Thursday (10/8/2023).

This workshop was attended by the Head of the Study Program and lecturers of PGRI Adibuana University Surabaya, opened directly by Rector Dr. Hartono, M.Si

In his remarks, Rector Dr. Hartono, M.Si, said that international research is needed to improve the competence of lecturers and university pride in implementing the tri dharma of higher education, including higher education accreditation.

"In addition, international funding will also increase the number of lecturers, including the welfare of lecturers," he said.

Furthermore, Dr Agung Pramujiono, M.Pd as Head of LPPM PGRI Adibuana University Surabaya, said this workshop will increase researchers' insight on international funding and how to submit international research proposals.

"A total of 23 researchers have received research funding from DRTPM from the novice lecturer research scheme, and as many as 196 researchers have been successfully funded by internal university funds. Furthermore, it is hoped that in the coming year more researchers will get research grants both nationally and internationally," he said when giving his speech.

The core material was delivered by Dr. Rasmitadila, M.Pd, who conveyed strategies for obtaining funding from international institutions.

"There needs to be a special strategy in making proposals, including collaboration with international colleagues or colleagues who have carried out joint collaborations or activities so as to facilitate the submission of research and service proposals," he explained.

On this occasion, Dr. Rasmitadila, M.Pd also said, in addition to collaboration, lecturers need to show research passion in order to determine the roadmap so that they understand the direction of research, or in this right their research cooperation.

"Another important thing is to improve the competence of lecturers so that they can collaborate with foreign researchers or partners so that it is easier to get funding," said the lecturer of the PGSD Study Program at FAIPG UNIDA.
