UNIDA FAIPG International Community Service Program: Introducing the Richness of Indonesian Culture to Thai Students

Students of the International Community Service Program (KKN) of the Faculty of Islamic Studies and Teacher Education (FAIPG) of Djuanda University (UNIDA) shared knowledge with the theme "Introducing the Cultural Wealth of the Indonesian Archipelago" to students of Bamrung Islam School, Phattalung, Southern Thailand. This activity aims to introduce students to the diversity of Indonesian culture, particularly batik and traditional dance. Indonesia's rich and diverse culture is both an identity and a heritage worthy of preservation and recognition. Through this activity, it is hoped that students will understand the noble values ​​inherent in Indonesian culture and foster closer ties between Indonesia and Thailand through the exchange of cultural knowledge.

In this activity, the KKN students learned more about batik, particularly its motifs. They were also introduced to traditional Indonesian dances, such as the Saman Dance from Aceh, the Kecak Dance from Bali, and the Plate Dance from West Sumatra, through short group learning sessions.

Through this activity, we, as students, hope that Bamrung Islam School students will not only learn about Indonesian culture but also develop a sense of mutual respect between cultures. We hope this experience can bridge friendship between Indonesia and Thailand and foster a spirit of continued preservation and preservation each culture.
