UNIDA FAIPG KKN-T Group 6 Students Plant Hundreds of Tree Seedlings to Green Tajur Village, Pasir Muncang Village

Last Updated: 2 years ago

The natural beauty in Tajur Village is increasingly green thanks to the initiative of Thematic Real Work Lecture (KKN-T) students from Group 6 of the Faculty of Islamic Religion and Teacher Education (FAIPG) Juanda University (UNIDA). In an effort to reforest and improve environmental quality, students planted and donated hundreds of tree seedlings to local residents last Tuesday (15/8/2023).

This initiative is part of the FAIPG UNIDA Group 6 KKN-T program which aims to contribute positively to the community, especially the residents of Tajur Village. With high enthusiasm, the FAIPG UNIDA KKN-T students collected and planted hundreds of plant seeds of various types throughout the village area.

The donation of plant seeds was greeted with joy by the residents of Tajur Village. They welcomed the students' initiative and were grateful for the contributions made. These seeds will be a valuable asset that will beautify the environment and improve the air quality around Tajur Village.

Apart from providing tree seedlings, FAIPG UNIDA KKN-T students also provided an understanding of the importance of protecting the environment to the children in the village. They hold environmental education sessions that involve children in the seed planting process and provide basic knowledge about ecology and sustainability.

Acting as a Field Supervisor (DPL), Resti Yektyastuti said that this program had a positive impact on the environment in a sustainable manner. Apart from that, this form of environmental education for children regarding greening also provides meaningful learning to children through real action.

"Environmental education for children in the form of container activities and planting tree seedlings is a good practice which is expected to provide meaningful learning for children about environmental sustainability. "Plant now, and experience the benefits continuously for decades to come," said Resti in a short interview session.

The Head of Tajur Village, Mr Suhada, welcomed this collaboration and hoped that this initiative would inspire the local community to care more about their own environment. He also expressed his gratitude for the contribution and assistance provided by the Group 6 KKN-T FAIPG UNIDA students.

"We are very grateful and appreciate the program carried out by KKN students from FAIPG Djuanda University because it will really have a good impact and green the environment of Tajur Village, Pasir Muncang Village," said Suhada.

The initiative carried out by KKN-T FAIPG UNIDA students is an inspiring good practice on how students can have a positive impact on the community in their surrounding environment. Hopefully the planting of these plant seeds will be a good start for positive changes in protecting the environment and creating a greener, fresher and healthier environment for all residents of Tajur Village.
