Students of the Real Work Lecture (KKN) Faculty of Islamic Religion and Teacher Education (FAIPG) Djuanda University (UNIDA) group 16 Gunung Guruh Village held a socialization on P5 Sustainable Lifestyle (sorting and processing waste) (3/8/2024).
P5 activities with a focus on sustainable lifestyles aim to increase students' awareness of the importance of waste management through sorting and recycling. In this activity, students are taught how to sort organic and inorganic waste, and are trained to recycle inorganic waste into useful items, such as trash cans. The main goal is to reduce the amount of waste, encourage creativity, and develop environmentally caring and responsible characters. In this way, students can contribute to protecting the environment and promoting a sustainable lifestyle.
P5 activities with a focus on sustainable lifestyles are increasing environmental problems due to increasing waste and a lack of public awareness in waste management. A lot of waste is not properly sorted, causing environmental pollution. Education about waste management and recycling among students is very important so that they can contribute to protecting the environment. Inorganic waste, such as plastic, can be recycled into useful items, thereby reducing the amount of waste that ends up in landfills.
The aim of holding this activity is to increase awareness, practical skills, Encourages creativity, and character development and waste reduction.
Yanthi Karteria S.S M.Pd. as Principal of SDN 3 Gunung Guruh, delivered a speech at this activity.
"Hopefully, through this socialization, we will get a better understanding of how the P5 Sustainable Lifestyle Program can be implemented in schools. With the socialization carried out by the brothers and sisters of the KKN, it will help students and the teacher council to sort and process waste into useful goods. "It can be reused, and can build awareness and creativity among teachers and students to be wise in managing waste," he said
Dzulkifli Sabiq, Chair of KKN Group 16 Gunung Guruh Village conveyed P5 Sustainable Lifestyles for sorting and processing waste.
"Through this activity, we hope to provide a deeper understanding of appropriate waste sorting techniques, as well as encourage all parties to commit to a sustainable lifestyle. "Let's make the habit of sorting and processing waste part of our daily lives for the sake of a better future," he said
In an effort to create a sustainable lifestyle, one of the important steps we can take is sorting and recycling waste. This process not only helps reduce negative impacts on the environment but also contributes to the conservation of natural resources.
