Last Updated: 1 year ago

Student Real Work Lectures (KKN) Faculty of Islamic Religion and Teacher Education (FAIPG) Juanda University (UNIDA) group 12 Cipicung Village, is there an outreach and training program carried out in Cipicung Village, Cijeruk District aimed at improving the quality of human resources (HR) by concentrating in processing used oil waste or used cooking oil into soap products. This program is part of a broader effort to increase the knowledge, skills and economic independence of village residents. By processing used cooking waste into valuable products it is hoped that it can have a positive impact on community welfare and improve environmental conditions in Cipicung Village (12/08/2024)

Cipicung Village faces significant environmental challenges due to the absence of a Final Disposal Site (TPA). As a result, many residents throw rubbish into rivers or burn it, which can cause pollution and have negative impacts on public health. With this training, it is hoped that used cooking waste, which has been an environmental problem, can be put to better use, so that it not only reduces pollution but also provides benefits for economic gain.

The main participants in this program are grade 12 students at MA Al-Kautsar, who are the main focus of this training. They not only learn techniques for processing used cooking waste into soap, but also gain knowledge about the importance of environmentally friendly waste management. It is hoped that students will gain practical skills useful for their future, including entrepreneurial skills and participation in environmental sustainability, through this training.

By increasing their knowledge and abilities, it is hoped that students can become agents of change in their village. They are expected to be able to apply what they have learned to help overcome the waste cooking waste problem in Cipicung Village and motivate other people to do better things for the environment. After graduating from school, they are also expected to be able to build new business opportunities that will last a long time. This is in line with the words of Allah SWT contained in Surah Al Mujadalah verse 11, namely:

وَاِذَا قِيْلَ انْشُزُوْا فَانْشُزُوْا يَرْفَعِ اللّٰهُ الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا مِنْكُمْۙ وَالَّذِيْنَ اُوْتُوا الْعِلْمَ دَرَجٰتٍۗ

Meaning: When it is said, "Stand up," (you) stand up. Allah will certainly raise up those who believe among you and those who are given knowledge of several degrees.

Overall, this training program is an important step towards improving the environment and economy in Cipicung Village. By converting waste into value-added products and empowering the younger generation to be involved in waste management, this program is expected to bring positive, sustainable change, both in terms of the environment and the economy. This initiative is a clear example of how education and innovation can be used to effectively address local challenges.
