Group 19 of the KKN Faculty of Islamic Religion, Djuanda Bogor University (UNIDA) assisted in the process of the Cikujang Village greening program with the aim of distributing around 35,000 tree seeds to the community with 2 types of generative sengon plants totaling 34,000 stems, vegetative durian totaling 1000 stems. The location of the People's Seed Garden (KBR) is precisely on Jln. Pajajaran 1 No20, Cikujang Village, Gunungguruh district (31/07/2024).
People's Seed Gardens (KBR) are activities for producing forest plant seeds that produce wood and non-timber forest products which are managed by village institutions, traditional groups, community groups, forest farmer groups, or social forestry management approval holders, used for planting as part of empowerment community in forest and land rehabilitation activities.
This activity is carried out starting from growing, sowing, transferring seeds or transplanting seeds that have germinated, the distribution of seeds is carried out after 4 months from transplanting the seeds. The person in charge at KBR is Mr Rahmat.
It is hoped that this program can improve environmental conservation in Cikujang Village, as well as prevent deforestation and empty land. Reduces pollution because the more trees planted will increase oxygen production and reduce soil erosion.
