Djuanda University (UNIDA) Real Work Lecture (KKN) students have once again demonstrated their commitment to contributing to community development by implementing an irrigation improvement work program in Cibentang Village, Gunung Guruh District. This activity aims to maximize waters in the agricultural sector and support increasing agricultural productivity in local communities. (11/08/2024)
This work program is motivated by the problems faced by farmers in Cibentang Village, namely the lack of adequate irrigation water supply during the planting season. With this irrigation improvement, it is hoped that the distribution of water to agricultural land can be more even and effective, so that plants can grow optimally and crop yields increase.
"This activity is part of our efforts to help the community overcome the challenges faced in the agricultural sector. We hope that, with this irrigation improvement, farmers in Cibentang Village can enjoy better results and their welfare can increase," said the Chair of the Cibentang Village KKN , Ravi Raya H.
This irrigation improvement program involves all members of the KKN team working together with the local community. Apart from repairing irrigation channels, KKN students also provide outreach regarding the importance of sustainable maintenance of irrigation systems and efficient water use techniques.
The Cibentang Village Government appreciates the efforts made by Unida KKN students. "We are very grateful for the help from the students. Better irrigation will really help the farmers in our village in managing their land," said the Head of Cibentang Village, Mr. Empung Kurniawan.
It is hoped that this KKN activity can be an inspiration for other young generations to continue to contribute to community development, especially in the agricultural sector which is the backbone of the rural economy in Indonesia.
