Students of the Community Service Program (KKN) of the Faculty of Islamic Religion and Teacher Education (FAIPG) of Djuanda University (UNIDA) Group 1 of Cibalung Village held an Islamic Parenting Seminar with the theme of Emulating the Prophet Muhammad in Educating Children in the Digital Era (12/08/2025)
The importance of this seminar is to remind people that children's education is a great trust for parents and parents have an important role in educating children or the current generation to have morals as exemplified by the Prophet Muhammad, and piety towards Allah SWT.
Lu'lu'ul Fuadiyah, the Chairperson of the Executive Committee, in his remarks conveyed the Islamic parenting seminar.
"This seminar is about emulating the Prophet Muhammad in educating children, that in the midst of the increasingly developing digital era, parents not only educate their children, but also have a great responsibility for their children to have good morals and always be close to Allah SWT," he said.
Dr. Hj. Lilis Fauzah Balgis,S.Hi.M.A.,Ek. The speaker in the activity said that as parents, we hope that the birth of our children will be for our children to serve Allah or worship.
"As parents, we hope that our children will serve God and worship Him, as God says, 'He did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Him.' Therefore, when a child is born, the first words uttered are "La ilaha illa Allah" (there is no god but Allah), not "dad" or "mama." This is to instill in the child aqidah (faith) from birth, so that they will continue to prostrate themselves to God Almighty," he said.
It is hoped that this activity will have a very positive impact on the congregation, enabling mothers to improve their child-rearing practices and parents to become more aware of their children's upbringing, such as being vigilant about gadget use. Furthermore, the focus will be on the importance of developing children's character, following the example of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
