Students from the Faculty of Islamic Religion and Teacher Education (FAIPG) Universitas Djuanda (UNIDA) who are members of the KKN-T program in Pasir Jaya Village, Cigombong District, successfully held a workshop entitled "Inclusive Education in Learning in Public Elementary Schools". We present Prof. Dr. Rasmitadila, M.Pd. as an expert resource person in their field. This activity aims to increase the understanding of elementary school teachers regarding the importance of inclusive education and strategies for implementing it in the classroom. (14/08/2024 )
Inclusive education is an educational approach that ensures all children, including those with special needs, receive equal access to quality education. FAIPG KKN-T students took the initiative to hold this workshop as part of efforts to support government policy in realizing inclusive education in all schools. During the workshop, teachers received training on how to identify students' special needs, design adaptive learning, and create a school environment that is friendly and supportive of all students without discrimination.
This workshop was attended by around 20 teachers from several schools in the village area. They seemed enthusiastic about participating in the discussion session guided by the moderator. One of the participating teachers, (Mrs. Emay Mardiyah, S. Pd.) said, "We were really helped by this new knowledge. We understand better how to deal with students with various needs.” This workshop is part of a series of FAIPG KKN-T programs which aim to improve the quality of education in rural areas, as well as being a form of student service to the community.
At the end of the activity, workshop participants were also invited to discuss and share experiences related to the challenges they faced in implementing inclusive education. The resource person provides a book of his work as a guide for teachers.

We hope that by holding this Inclusive Education Workshop, participants can understand more deeply the importance of inclusivity in the world of education. We believe that inclusive education is not only about providing equal opportunities for all students, but also about creating a learning environment that values differences and supports diversity.
