To increase students' interest and love for reading, Thematic Real Work Lecture (KKN-T) Students of the Faculty of Islamic Religion and Teacher Education (FAIPG) of Djuanda University (UNIDA) on Monday (21/08/2023) carried out a library construction program and My Literas Corner (POLIKU) at MI Alkhoeriyah, Cileungsi Village, Ciawi District, Bogor Regency.
Hasbiya Salsabila, the Chief Executive of the program, said that the creation of my Literas Corner (POLIKU) in the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) Alkhoeriyah 1 Library was to meet the information needs of the community in the Madrasah environment concerned, especially teachers and students. POLIKU acts as a medium and means to support the teaching and learning process at the school level.
The realization of this library was motivated by the absence of literacy facilities at school, so students designed this program, which hopes that the existence of POLIKU will increase students' interest in learning and studying by reading books, especially knowledge books so that students get a lot of new knowledge and comprehensive insights
"Alhamdulillah, one of our programs in the field of education has been carried out by realizing the Library and POLIKU at MI Alkhoeriyah 1, I would like to thank the Head of the Foundation, Head of Madrasah, Mother/Father Teachers, Madrasah Staff who have welcomed us, allowing us to serve at MI Alkhoeriyah 1," he said.
"Also our gratitude to the supervisors who have helped run the program from start to finish, I do not forget to thank my fellow KKN-T group 8 students for their help and cooperation, so that this program runs smoothly and successfully, which is hoped that by making this library, MI Alkhoeriyah 1 students will become more enthusiastic in their studies, become superior students, smart and successful in the future, and we also entrust this library to always be maintained and well cared for," he continued.
The Head of the Alkhoeriyah Foundation, M. Rendi Ramdhani, M.Pd, also appreciated what the students had initiated. He hopes that this POLIKU can increase students' love of reading, instill independent learning habits in students at school, enrich learning experiences other than in the classroom, and help students gain broad insights by reading knowledge books
"Alhamdulillah, the big project of UNIDA KKN-T Group 8 students has been realized, namely the creation of the Library and My Literacy Corner (POLIKU), hopefully with this library, it will become a learning facility for students so that students become even more enthusiastic in seeking knowledge, as well as students will get a lot of insight and additional knowledge from reading books in the library," he said
In line with this, Mamat Rahmat, S.Pd.I, as the Principal of MI Alkhoeriyah 1, said that the presence of students who carry out KKN-T in Cileungsi Village, especially at MI Alkhoeriyah, provides many positive benefits. Students contribute to the acceleration and development of education at MI Alkhoeriyah with enthusiasm and enthusiasm through various programs.
"Students have helped the school a lot and shared their experiences, spent their time and energy, especially realizing a big program, namely the Library and Literacy Corner at MI Alkhoeriyah 1, for that we hope that with this library, it can be a motivation for all students to enthusiastically seek knowledge, not forgetting once again the school ranks say thank you very much to UNIDA KKN-T students," he said
