The Primary School Teacher Education Study Program (PGSD) Faculty of Islamic Religion and Teacher Education (FAIPG) Djuanda University successfully held a Mass Media Writing Training program. The aim of this program is to improve the abilities of lecturers and students in academic and journalistic writing. The aim of this training, which begins on June 15 2023, is to provide participants with the knowledge necessary to write in a way that is relevant and interesting for readers in the mass media.
There are many PGSD FAIPG lecturers and students who want to improve their writing skills. In this activity, participants gain a basic understanding of how to write news, opinions and articles that are effective and meet mass media standards. The training material is delivered by experts in the field of media and journalism who have extensive experience in the media field.
"This activity is expected to be able to provide new understanding for lecturers and students in producing writing that is not only interesting but also able to provide accurate information and in accordance with the needs of the mass media. Our hope is that lecturers and students of PGSD FAIPG Djuanda University can become productive and professional writers in the academic and journalistic realm," said Dr. Helmia Tasti Adri, M.Pd.Si. as Head of the PGSD Study Program.
Apart from the material, this training also has a practical session where participants can directly write articles with the guidance of resource persons. It is hoped that in this way, participants can use the knowledge they have learned and get useful feedback.
Nafhan Maulana, one of the students who took part in the training, said, "This training is very useful because we understand better writing techniques for publication in the media." I want to continue improving these skills and one day be able to write something that inspires others.
This Mass Media Writing Training is a concrete step from Djuanda University in equipping students and lecturers with adequate media literacy skills, in line with the university's vision to produce superior and competent human resources in various fields.
