The Faculty of Islamic Religion and Teacher Education (FAIPG) through Djuanda University (UNIDA) in an effort to increase international collaboration, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between FAIPG UNIDA and Recep Tayyip Erdogan University, Turkiye. (05/11/2024)
The signing ceremony was attended by UNIDA leadership including the Vice Chancellors, Head of the International Affairs Office, Deans and the Head of the UNIDA Environmental Studies Program. Meanwhile, from Recep Tayyip Erdogan University, Prof. Dr. Naim Demirel.
UNIDA Deputy Chancellor IV, Dr. Yudi Wahyudin, S.Pi., M.Si in his speech highlighted the long history and global influence of Türkiye, especially in the context of the resilience of the Islamic community. According to him, this history provides valuable lessons about the importance of the values of unity, strength and clear goals in building civilization.
“Türkiye has a rich and illustrious history that resonates globally, demonstrating the strength and resilience of the Islamic community. It is often said that the people who conquer Constantinople will be led by the best leaders, the best soldiers, and the best people, as stated by the Prophet Muhammad SAW. Recep Tayyib Erdogan University as one of the leading educational institutions in Türkiye undoubtedly has extraordinary aspirations. "This is where the future leaders of Türkiye and the Islamic world will be nurtured and developed," he said.
Dr. Yudi Wahyudin, S.Pi., M.Si also emphasized UNIDA's pride in bearing the name of national hero Ir. H. Djuanda Kartawidjaja, former Prime Minister of Indonesia who is famous for the Djuanda Declaration of 13 December 1957.
"This legacy inspires us to strive for excellence in education and leadership," he emphasized.
Meanwhile, a representative from Recep Tayyip Erdogan University, Prof. Dr. Naim Demirel stated that this collaboration is a strategic step to develop a global education network and establish collaboration that is mutually beneficial for both parties. The signed MoA covers various cooperation programs, including student and teaching staff exchanges, joint research, and curriculum development.
"This collaboration is expected to enrich students' academic experience, increase research capacity, and produce internationally competitive graduates," he said
