Ampang, Selangor, Malaysia — January 31, 2026. The Islamic Banking Study Program concluded the series of Tridarma International Visit & Academic (Batch 6) activities with a highly meaningful community service initiative. As part of the ASEANACA International Conference (6th ICOSTELM 2026), the FAIPG UNIDA delegation directly engaged in empowering the Indonesian Diaspora Association in Kuala Lumpur.
The Islamic Banking Study Program carried out this International Community Service activity in Malaysia as a concrete implementation of the Tridarma of Higher Education, while also strengthening the role of academics in supporting the economic development of the Indonesian diaspora.
This community service activity focused on mentoring the development and strengthening of the branding of Kerupuk Rambak, a traditional processed food product with strong economic potential that still requires improvement in terms of brand identity and marketing strategy.
Mr. Yaslikan, the owner of Warung Citarasa Lamongan and the Kerupuk Rambak business in the Ampang area, stated that Kerupuk Rambak has a distinctive taste and great potential to be developed as a leading local product. However, he acknowledged that the main challenge currently faced lies in the marketing aspect, particularly due to the presence of many similar cracker products that have already entered the market with larger production capacity and wider distribution networks.
According to him, strong and consistent branding has become an urgent necessity so that Kerupuk Rambak can establish a clear identity and differentiate itself from competing products. With the assistance provided in strengthening its brand, he hopes that Kerupuk Rambak will become more widely recognized, gain added value, and be able to compete fairly in the highly competitive snack food industry.
