The Sharia Economics Study Program of the Faculty of Islamic Religion and Teacher Education (FAIPG) of Djuanda University (UNIDA) held a webinar titled "Financially Smart, Spiritually Smart: Islamic Financial Planning for Gen Z" on Saturday, June 28, 2025.

The Head of the Sharia Economics Study Program at FAIPG UNIDA, Wildan Munawar, S.E.I., M.A., stated that this activity aims to equip the younger generation to manage finances wisely and in accordance with Sharia principles. In addition, this activity is also an effort to improve Islamic financial literacy within the community.

"Sharia financial planning is an important step in preparing better financial conditions that align with the life goals one wishes to achieve."

This is also in line with the teachings of the Qur'an about the importance of preparing for future life, including in financial aspects," he said.

This webinar features Ustadz Dea Aryandhana, a practitioner and expert in sharia financial planning who currently serves as the Director of the Sharia Department at the International Association of Registered Financial Consultant (IARFC) Indonesia.

In his presentation, Ustadz Dea highlighted the challenges faced by the current generation Z, such as a consumerist lifestyle influenced by the You Only Live Once (YOLO) and Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) phenomena, as well as current issues like unemployment and the proliferation of illegal online games.

He emphasized the importance of comprehensive wealth management in Islam, from the way of acquiring, using, to developing wealth.

"Islam teaches to spend wealth according to needs, not merely following desires." Sharia financial planning not only involves financial matters but is also closely related to the blessings of life," he stated.
