Adding a New Doctor in the Field of Applied Linguistics, PGSD FAIPG UNIDA Program is Ready to Excellent

Dr. Mega Febriani Sya, M.Pd, a lecturer in the Primary School Teacher Education Program (PGSD) at the Faculty of Islamic Religion and Teacher Education (FAIPG) of Universitas Djuanda (UNIDA), successfully earned her Doctorate in Applied Linguistics during the Open Examination for the Doctoral Program in Applied Linguistics at Jakarta State University on Monday, October 21, 2024.

Dr. Mega conducted research for her dissertation titled “Fantasy Ideology in the Harry Potter Novels Based on Sociocultural Practices: A Fairclough Critical Discourse Analysis.”

Present at Dr. Mega's Open Examination were the Chancellor of UNIDA, Prof. Dr. H. Martin Roestamy, S.H., M.H., and the Rector of UNIDA, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hj. R. Siti Pupu Fauziah, M.Pd, along with the Dean of FAIPG, faculty members, and educational staff of FAIPG UNIDA.

The Rector of UNIDA, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hj. R. Siti Pupu Fauziah, M.Pd.I, warmly welcomed the achievement of this FAIPG UNIDA lecturer. She stated that Dr. Mega's success adds to the list of doctors in the FAIPG UNIDA community, further strengthening the quality of education and learning in line with the spirit of a unified campus aimed at becoming an excellent higher education institution.

"May Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala grant blessings and benefits from the knowledge gained, for the advancement of religion, the nation, and especially our beloved campus, Djuanda University," said Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hj. R. Siti Pupu Fauziah, M.Pd.I.
