Students of the Faculty of Islamic Religion and Teacher Education (FAIPG) of Djuanda University (UNIDA) who are members of the Thematic Real Work Lecture (KKN) group in Sukakarya Village held a Socialization of Classroom Management Implementation through Creative Learning Methods and Media entitled Great Teacher Socialization which was held offline at Mi Amaliyah Cijulang Hamlet, Sukakarya Village, Megamendung District on Wednesday, August 9, 2023.
The activity was filled by FAIPG UNIDA Alumni Imam Kurniawan, S.Pd and attended by the KKN FAIPG UNIDA Sukakarya Village team and MI Amaliyah teachers. The socialization activity is carried out to train teachers to create an effective learning atmosphere and, of course, must be able to adjust to the needs of their students, especially in the use of learning media and also choose the correct learning method for students.
In her speech, Chief Executive Erika Chunja Nurannisa stated that the socialization of great teachers aims to educate and assist socialization participants or teacher councils in understanding, adopting, and applying creative learning methods and media in their learning environment. The target of implementing activities is to educate teachers about the concepts and benefits of using innovative learning methods and media in the classroom and provide skills and strategies to implement them well.
"The target for students themselves is that students can increase student participation and student motivation in learning by presenting learning material in a more interesting and interactive manner. Hopefully this socialization can run smoothly and can produce useful things and in accordance with the goals, "he said.
Meanwhile, Imam Kurniawan, S.Pd as the resource person in his material presentation, stated that classroom management is the teacher's skill to create and maintain optimal learning conditions and restore them if there is a disruption in the teaching and learning process. In other words, activities make and maintain optimal conditions for teaching and learning processes to occur.
"In creating an effective learning atmosphere, teachers must be able to adjust to the needs of their students, especially in the use of learning media and also choose the right learning method for students. But in reality there are many teachers who are unable to choose and use the right media and learning methods. This results in students easily experiencing boredom and not being enthusiastic in participating in learning activities due to the lack of teacher creativity in managing classes well.
