Students of the Faculty of Islamic Religion and Teacher Education (FAIPG) Universitas Djuanda (UNIDA) who are members of a group of 18 Thematic Real Work Lectures (KKN) in Cijulang Hamlet, Sukakarya Village, Megamendug District, Bogor Regency held a socialization about youth in the social and political realms entitled Chatting with Youth (Ngopi) on Wednesday, August 9, 2023. The activity was filled by the Chairman of the Board of Commissariat PMII UNIDA, Suhandi and attended by the Thematic KKN team of Sukakarya Village and attended by the youth of Cijulang Hamlet, including those who are members of youth organizations.

This activity was motivated by human resources, especially young men and women in Cijulang Hamlet, which were pretty large and enthusiastic about high community activities. It's just that for the youth themselves, and there is still a lack of understanding of their role in the social, management and organizational realms, such as there are still many frictions or clashes in one event with another as well as the lack of understanding of youth in legal awareness and political participation.

Chief Executive Laila Nabilatu Rohmah, in her speech, stated that, at present, the role of youth in the social and political spheres is significant. One example is the young generation's understanding of how their actions at the local level can have a broader impact at the global level. This socialisation activity aims to educate youth about how they can play a role in social and political change, both in their own environment and on a larger scale, such as in global issues. The second goal is to inspire active participation of youth in social and political activities to create positive change, and the third goal is to understand awareness of social issues and concerns and increase political awareness of the importance of being involved in political processes that affect society and the state.

"Hopefully with the socialization of the role of youth in the social and political spheres, young men and women in Cijulang Hamlet can understand the meaning of the position of youth in society. Youth are also expected to make a positive contribution to society by issuing ideas and thoughts that can have a good influence on life in the community, especially in Cijulang Hamlet. So that the community can benefit from the active youth and women," he said.

In his speech, Cijulang Hamlet Youth Chairman, Idin stated that with this socialization, Youth in Cijulang Hamlet, in particular, can be more compact and grow awareness of the role of Youth in the community. And continue to be passionate about increasing understanding of the role in the social and political spheres.

Chairman of the Board of Commissariat PMII UNIDA, Suhandi, as the resource person, stated that Youth play an important role in shaping and influencing social and political societal changes. The active participation of Youth in social and political activities can significantly impact the direction of a country's development. The role of Youth in the social sphere is the Social Change agenda, where Youth often become agents of social change through movements and actions to overcome problems such as the environment, education, and health. They encourage public awareness and inspire positive change. The second role is volunteerism and Social Care, where Youth have the energy and passion to contribute voluntarily to charity and humanitarian activities. It helps build solidarity and strengthen social relations in the community.

"While the role of youth in the political sphere is participation in the electoral process, youth are a significant group in voting rights. Their active participation in elections is able to shape the direction of political policy and the election of leaders who represent the aspirations of the younger generation. The second role is policy advocacy where youth have a tendency to fight for changes in public policy, especially those related to education, employment, and human rights. They are campaigning for these issues to be noticed by the government," he said.
