Students from the Community Service Program (KKN) of the Faculty of Islamic Studies and Teacher Education (FAIPG) at Djuanda University (UNIDA), Group 18 of Sukamantri Village, held a Maps in Business training program with the theme "Business Transformation through Google Maps." (03/08/2025)
The Maps In Business initiative was motivated by the importance of local businesses' digital presence to make them easier for potential customers to find. Many MSMEs in Sukamantri Village are unaware of the benefits of registering their businesses on Google Maps as a free and effective promotional tool. Through this initiative, students from the Community Service Program (KKN) Group 18 of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FAIPG) at Djuanda University provide practical benefits for businesses to register, verify, and manage their business profiles on Google Maps. The goal is to increase business visibility, expand marketing reach, and support technology-based local economic growth.
Anjani Sudrajat, in his presentation, said that Google Maps is not only a navigation tool, but also a very influential promotional tool.
"Google Maps is not just a navigation tool, but also a powerful promotional tool. By registering your business on Google Maps, customers will more easily find your location, opening hours, and reviews," he said.
Through the Maps In Business initiative, it is hoped that businesses successfully registered on Google Maps can serve as role models and inspiration for other businesses in Sukamantri Village. Furthermore, they are expected to experience direct benefits in the form of improved customer access and increased online business visibility. Going forward, the village community is expected to be motivated to register their own businesses, thereby increasing the number of local businesses on Google Maps
