Students of the Student Association (HIMA) of the Primary School Teacher Education Study Program (PGSD) Djuanda University officially opened the 2025 GALAKSi (Academic and Student Creation Competition) with great fanfare. Located in Building C, Djuanda University, the opening event was attended by lecturers, accompanying teachers, competition participants, as well as invited guests from various schools spread across the West Java Province. The 2025 GALAKSi activity was attended by participants from elementary, middle school, high school and vocational school levels, with a total of five competition branches covering various academic and non-academic fields. The aim of this activity is to explore the potential of students at various levels of education while providing a healthy and educational competitive experience.
The opening event began with an artistic performance from PGSD students, followed by remarks from the Chief Executive, Chair of HIMA PGSD, representatives from the Faculty of Islamic Religion and Teacher Education (FAIPG), as well as the Chair of the Djuanda University PGSD Study Program. The Chief Executive expressed his gratitude for the enthusiasm of the participants and the hard work of the entire committee.
"GALAKSi is a real form of PGSD students' concern for developing student potential from an early age. We hope that this activity will be a valuable experience, both for the participants and the committee," said
Chairman of HIMA PGSD Djuanda University, Nafhan Maulana Ashary, also expressed his appreciation to all parties who had supported the implementation of this activity.
"Through GALAKSi, we want to show that PGSD students are capable of being agents of change in the field of education, not only in the classroom, but also through real activities like this," he said.
GALAKSi 2025 activities carry the theme "Growing Competitive Spirit and Student Creativity through Educational Competitions." This theme was chosen as a form of support for the development of student character in facing an era of learning that continues to develop
Head of the PGSD Study Program at Djuanda University, Dr. Helmia Tasti Adri, M.Pd.Si, expressed her appreciation for the students' initiative in organizing this provincial-scale activity.
"I am very proud to see the enthusiasm of students in organizing positive activities like GALAKSi. This is not only an arena for children to compete in a healthy manner, but also an extraordinary learning space for students to build character, responsibility and leadership," he said in his speech.
The opening of the activity was marked symbolically by releasing balloons into the air and hitting a gong by university representatives, which marked the start of a series of competitions which will take place over the next week.
By involving students from various levels and regions in West Java, as well as five competitive competition branches, GALAKSi 2025 is expected to be an event of achievement and inspiration for all participants and committees involved.
